Location: Buford, GA (with a possible office relocation to Gainesville, GA)  

Job Type: Part-Time, Hourly, On-site

Salary:  $18 - $23/hr  (Commensurate on Experience)

What we are looking for:

M-B is currently hiring a Part-Time Administrative Assistant to be based out of the corporate office in Buford, GA . This is an entry-level role that provides on-the-job training. Customer service skills may serve as a benefit in this role. Success in this role comes from staying present and attentive, keeping the multi-line office phone running smoothly, communicating clearly, and juggling day-to-day tasks without getting sidetracked. Strong attention to detail and steady follow-through will go a long way here.

How you will make an impact at M-B as an Administrative Assistant:

As an Administrative Assistant at Maldonado-Burkett, your tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinating with Accounts Payable on tasks related to expense reports, vendor payments, purchases, and other admin tasks as assigned;
  • Work with HR on weekly tasks related to PTO management, calendar updates, and other clerical duties;
  • Assist Project Accountant with invoice reviews, digital file maintenance and contract compliance as needed;
  • File maintenance and coordination;
  • Fleet Management
  • Run budget reports, schedule meeting, make project management software updates  
  • Answering all direct incoming calls;
  • Assistance with inventory management;
  • Receiving guests, visitors, and packages;
  • Reliable transportation for local travel up to 5% of the time;
  • Assist in other business areas as needed.

  What it takes to be successful as an Administrative Assistant:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent;
  • Computer literacy;
  • Strong communication skills – written and oral;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, etc.;
  • Experience in customer service or reception preferred, but not required;
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Conditions of Employment:

  • Must be eligible for coverage under the company’s commercial auto insurance policy which requires drivers to be 23 years or older and carry a valid GA drivers license.
  • Applicant will be subject to a Motor Vehicle Record Check. Satisfactory driving records are required for driving company or personal vehicles and motor driven equipment to conduct company business.
  • Applicant must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen. Safety impact employees will be subject to additional drug and alcohol testing throughout his/her employment.
  • As part of its employment process, M-B may procure or have prepared a criminal background check. An applicant with an unsatisfactory criminal background check report is ineligible to be hired for the position for which the report is initiated.
  • If hired, applicant must provide document(s) within three (3) days of hire date that establish identity and employment eligibility. A complete list of acceptable documents is on file with the local Texas Workforce Commission office or
