Responsibilities:

• Assist a journeyman carpenter or site supervisor with construction and remodeling projects.
• Learn and practice essential carpentry techniques, including framing, interior/exterior trim work, cabinetry, and installing doors and windows.
• Study and interpret blueprints, sketches, and building plans to understand project requirements.
• Measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials to exact specifications.
• Set up and maintain power tools, hand tools, and equipment for the supervising carpenter.
• Transport and organize building materials and supplies on the job site.
• Erect temporary structures such as scaffolding and ladders.
• Clean and organize the work area at the end of the day, including removing debris and putting away tools.

Safety and Compliance

• Adhere strictly to all company and OSHA safety guidelines, including using personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Inspect and maintain company tools and equipment to ensure they are safe and in good working order.

Qualifications and Skills

Basic Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be able to read a tape measure.
• Must be able to operate and use proper tools and must bring your own basic hand tools.
• Physical ability to perform demanding trade work, including lifting heavy materials (up to 75-100 lbs), climbing ladders, and working in various weather conditions.
• Must have a valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Reliable transportation to job sites and or our shops.
• Must be able to pass random drug tests.

Desired Skills

• Strong mathematical skills for accurate measuring and calculating materials.
• Familiarity with common hand tools and power tools.
• Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
• Physical stamina and endurance. (ie. standing, ladders, scaffolding, reaching above head for longer periods of time, kneeling and floor work).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions from supervisors.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
