Assistant Cashier Supervisor

Join the Casino Cashier Operations team at Turning Stone Resort Casino and fast-track your way to a supervisory role within one year. You'll receive hands-on training, rotate to a satellite location, work with a leadership mentor, and get regular feedback to support your growth.

What does an Assistant Cashier Supervisor do?

  • Navigate Microsoft Suite applications and all other software systems utilized including above average spelling and grammar capabilities
  • Consistently follow department procedures and regulatory controls by reviewing all paperwork for appropriate signatures, time stamps and accurate computer entries.
  • Reach an SME status with regard to the casino cashier operations balancing system and other manual forms of balancing and settlement.
  • Conduct oneself as a positive reflection on Turning Stone Enterprises at all times with a positive work history and attendance record.
  • Accurately and efficiently performs all functions and preparation of all casino cashier operations paperwork in accordance with Internal Controls and software applications associated with Casino Cashier Operations and other related departments as necessary.
  • Ability to troubleshoot errors, variances and equipment or system malfunctions.
  • Ensures that efficiency is being achieved through suggestions to improve procedural consistency and/or eliminate redundancy.
  • Consistently demonstrate exemplary guest service skills and assists guests with questions, transactions and problem solving.
  • Communicate effectively on matters of mutual concern and issues of operational importance to relief team members and above.
  • Perform routine inspections to ensure a proper, safe, and clean working environment in all areas within Casino Cashier Operations, including but not limited to equipment and supplies.
  • Assist in the technical and procedural training of new hire Team Members.
  • Possess the ability to handle large volumes of cash and multi-task in an accurate, honest and efficient manner at all times.

Work Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years prior experience in a previous leadership role including responsibilities for hiring, terminating and annual review development.
  • Previous experience in having supervised a minimum of 5 team members in a cash handling and/or guest service industry.
  • Must be open and available for an occasional flexible work schedule for training purposes.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to alternate casino properties;
  • Must be able and willing to work weekends and holidays.
  • Must possess above average computer experience and experience using Microsoft Office functions.
  • Ability to prioritize/organize and work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • College degree or some level of secondary education preferred.
  • Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time and lift up to 31 - 40 pounds.
