Role: Barista
Summary: To make and serve espresso and non-espresso drinks to the highest standard while also providing excellent customer service.
1. Proper Dialing In of Espresso
What winning looks like:
Consistently pulling espresso shots that meet Lions Den standards.
What it will take:
· Regularly tasting and making adjustments to produce the best tasting espresso.
· Following precise measurements and timing of each shot.
· Attention to detail in knowing when a shot should not be used.
2. Ensures Quality Assurance of Drinks
What winning looks like:
Delivering drinks that meet Lion's Den standards and the customers expectations for taste, presentation and temperature.
What it will take:
· Following proper milk steaming techniques.
· Ensuring all drinks recipes are followed and special requests are adhered to.
· Following health, safety and sanitation guidelines.
3. Customer Interaction and Engagement
What winning looks like:
Interacting with the customers about espresso, coffee and different products that set us apart from the rest.
What it will take:
· Learning and maintaining in-depth knowledge of coffee and products.
· Confidently sharing product information with customers and making recommendations.
· Offering customer demonstrations and samples .
