Job Purpose

As a senior member of the Advanced CAE Department, you will lead the creation of 1D CAE models and methods related to electrical systems, such as wire harnesses and electrical control units. Your expertise will help us verify voltage drop, electrical load balance, and device performance, ultimately enhancing our product optimization and development processes.

Key Accountabilities

• Lead a small team to develop and validate innovative CAE methods for specification setting and product verification.
• Collaborate with test and part design engineers to accurately define CAE model boundaries, constraints, and assumptions, while effectively presenting analyses to technical experts.
• Document CAE models as verified tools for specification setting and product verification.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years of engineering experience (or 3+ years with an MS, or 0-2 years with a PhD).
• Expertise in 1D CAE tools such as Matlab/Simulink/Simscape, Ansys Twin Builder, Amesim, and proficiency in programming languages like Python and VBA.
• Extensive experience in creating and validating new CAE models/methods.
• Familiarity with static and dynamic electrical analysis.
• Ability to simplify complex concepts into clear summaries.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions

• Primarily office-based work, with occasional time spent at test facilities for collaboration.
• Occasional travel and overtime may be required.
