Job Title: Chemical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Chemical Engineer to lead new product and process introduction activities, including the production scale-up of new polymers and the integration of new or revised processes into our manufacturing facility. The role involves working closely with chemists, operations, and tolling customers to ensure efficient production methods, and collaborating with management and engineering staff to optimize manufacturing capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Complete new product and process introduction activities, including production scale-up of new polymers.
• Assimilate new or revised processes into the manufacturing facility.
• Work directly with chemists, operations, and tolling customers concerning product design and tooling.
• Ensure efficient production methods.
• Confer with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities and production schedules.
• Conduct process improvement activities to drive safety, quality, cost, operability, or regulatory improvements.
• Participate in product support activities, providing technical coverage for manufacturing operations.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures.
• Assist in the design and plan layout, and oversee workers engaged in constructing, controlling, and improving equipment for chemical processes on a commercial scale.
• Assist in the design, procurement, and implementation of capital projects.
• Foster a safety and environmentally compliant work environment.
• Complete specific projects or responsibilities assigned by the Chemical Engineering Manager accurately and timely.

Essential Skills

• Chemical Engineering degree.
• Experience in scale-up and chemical process engineering.
• Knowledge of liquid, chemical, polymer, acrylic, or polyurethane products.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Chemical Reaction processes.
• Proficiency in Power BI.
• Background in Chemistry or related fields.

Work Environment

This role involves collaboration with all other departments, including the R&D team, chemists, engineers, maintenance staff, and operations personnel to implement changes and new manufacturing processes. The position is a 1st shift role, Monday through Friday, with a flexible start time, and involves working both in the lab and the manufacturing environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/yr.

Cost for these three can be anywhere form $5,000 to $15,000 per year based on the individual plan the employee takes.

401k - 1st of the following month after 30 days of employment
100% of first 3%

Vacation (may be able to flex on this if someone needs three weeks starting out - not guaranteed)
Two Weeks - 1-4 years of service
Three Weeks - 5-14 years of service
Four Weeks - 15+ years of service
Also receive 24 hours of PTO (not the same as vacation)

This is a fully onsite position in Merton,WI.
