Position Overview:

Mario Badescu Skin Care is seeking an experienced and dynamic PR Director to lead and elevate our brand presence within the beauty and skincare industry. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, a strong communicator, and a passionate advocate for our brand, capable of driving impactful media relationships, innovative campaigns, and high-profile partnerships.

This role is NYC based with 5 required in office days.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive public relations strategies to enhance Mario Badescu’s visibility and reputation in the beauty and skincare market.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with beauty editors, influencers, bloggers, and industry partners to secure media coverage and collaborations.
• Lead product launches, brand campaigns, and events that align with the company’s vision and marketing goals.
• Manage crisis communications and respond to media inquiries to protect and promote brand integrity.
• Collaborate closely with marketing, social media, product development, and executive teams to ensure cohesive messaging and brand consistency across all platforms.
• Monitor media trends, competitor activities, and consumer insights to adjust PR strategies accordingly.
• Oversee and mentor PR team members, fostering a creative and productive environment.

Track and report on PR campaign effectiveness and media coverage analytics.

• Review coverage performance and editor feedback regularly, driving continuous improvement in earned media results.
• Ensure regional pitching, mailers, and press events reflect global strategy, deliver impact, and maintain creative excellence.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in beauty or skincare public relations, with a proven track record of success.
• Exceptional media relations skills with established connections in beauty and lifestyle media.
• Strong leadership and project management abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to think creatively and strategically in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for beauty, skincare, and wellness industries.
• Proficiency in PR tools and media monitoring platforms.
