POSITION SUMMARY:
The Residential Electrician will be responsible for maintaining electrical systems in residential and small commercial buildings for our customers.
Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essentials functions. Understand and apply blueprints and technical diagrams. Diagnose and repair electrical problems, replace faulty wiring or components, and maintain existing electrical systems. Conduct inspections to identify potential problems and prevent future breakdowns. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Inspect and maintain electrical systems in homes and businesses Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to plan and execute electrical installations and repairs. Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes. Competencies Minimum of 3 years in residential electrical work Strong work ethic, integrity, and ability to work independently or as part of a team Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and installation techniques. Ability to use power tools and equipment effectively Ability to read and understand schematics and technical documentation Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects up to 25 pounds.
