Job Title: Housekeeping Manager / Coordinator

Location: Kirtland Air Force Base – Albuquerque, NM
Salary: $55,000 – $60,000 annually (based on experience)
Schedule: Full-time, flexible schedule required (weekdays, weekends, and occasional evenings)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Housekeeping Manager/Coordinator to oversee and participate in daily cleaning and facility upkeep operations at Kirtland Air Force Base. This individual will perform housekeeping duties while also managing and coordinating the schedules and workloads of a small housekeeping team (3–5 employees). The ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment, demonstrates strong leadership skills, and can adapt to a flexible schedule that includes weekends and special events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, sanitizing, vacuuming, dusting, and replenishing supplies in designated areas.

  • Coordinate and supervise a team of 3–5 housekeeping staff, ensuring all duties are completed to high standards and within scheduled time frames.

  • Develop and manage weekly and monthly cleaning schedules, adjusting as needed for coverage, events, and operational demands.

  • Train and mentor housekeeping team members on cleaning standards, safety procedures, and efficient work methods.

  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with base and company standards.

  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; order replacements as needed.

  • Communicate with facility management and staff to address cleaning needs, special projects, and maintenance concerns.

  • Respond promptly to urgent cleaning requests or facility incidents.

  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and security regulations.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or related training preferred.

  • Minimum 2 years of housekeeping experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage a small team effectively.

  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.

  • Must be able to pass a background check and meet all base access requirements.

  • Flexible availability, including weekends and occasional evenings.
