Job Title: Housekeeping Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee housekeeping operations at a major tech center. The successful candidate will manage a team of 15-20 housekeepers and managers, ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of one or more buildings, depending on size. The role involves leadership in general housekeeping, floor cleaning, restroom maintenance, office upkeep, and waste management.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage a team of 15-20 housekeepers and managers.
• Oversee housekeeping operations in one or multiple buildings on campus.
• Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of floors, restrooms, offices, and trash areas.
• Manage and operate equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, and carpet cleaners.
• Address and resolve issues with union personnel.
• Coach and train team members, holding them accountable to union standards.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of supervisory experience in janitorial or housekeeping within a manufacturing environment with UAW personnel.
• Leadership and management skills.
• Experience operating and troubleshooting cleaning equipment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, email, Teams, and data entry.
• Ability to coach and train team members.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in union environments within hospitals or similar settings.
• Ability to create spreadsheets.

Work Environment

The position is based at a large automotive plant, operating during the 2nd shift from 2:30 PM to 12:00 AM. Flexibility in shift management is preferred.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Warren, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.06 - $36.06/hr.
