Pay Range: $16.36 - $18.35 per hour

Pay Transparency:

The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey.

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

The Housekeeping Worker cleans and supplies Operating Rooms, sub-sterile areas, ancillary areas, and any other areas assigned in accordance with standard procedures of the Environmental Services Department and in accordance with hospital objectives.

Qualifications:

Preferred:

  • Hospital housekeeping experience preferred
  • Floor care experience preferred

Scheduling Requirements:

  • 8:00am-4:30pm
  • Rotating weekends and holidays
  • Part time

Essential Functions:

  • Clean and disinfect patient’s rooms, bathrooms, and other areas of the facility in a timely fashion
  • Cleaning duties will include trash removal and disposal, sweeping, mopping, and other duties assigned according to hospital policies and procedures
  • Must understand standard precautions and removal of medical waste, hazardous waste, and pharmaceutical waste
  • Ability to clean surgical equipment, surgical invasive areas, isolation areas and of off-site campus areas depending on shift
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Maintain adequate stock of supplies and chemicals
  • Lift, pull, push up to 50 lbs.
  • Prefer an understanding of following Joint Commission and DOH inspections
