Job Summary:

We are a growing manufacturing company in Corpus Christi seeking a skilled and reliable Machinist to join our team. Due to recent growth and our commitment to long-term capability, we have an immediate need to expand our machining department and avoid potential workflow disruptions. We are looking for a candidate with strong general machining knowledge and blueprint reading skills who can contribute to our team's success. While we prefer candidates with 5+ years of experience and specific experience with boring mills and vertical turret lathes, we are also open to considering highly skilled individuals with less experience who can demonstrate their abilities.

Responsibilities:

• Operate a variety of machining equipment, including lathes, presses, saws, mills, and key seaters.
• Interpret and work from blueprints and technical drawings.
• Perform machining tasks with precision and efficiency.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
• Potential for overtime, including nights and weekends, as needed.

Qualifications:

Absolute Musts:

• Solid general machining knowledge.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading.

(Preferred):

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Machinist.
• Experience operating boring mills.
• Experience operating vertical turret lathes.

Other Desired Skills:

• Lathe operation.
• Press operation.
• Saw operation.
• Mill operation.
• Key seater operation.

Disqualifiers:

• Candidates lacking fundamental machining skills or blueprint reading ability.
• Candidates whose experience does not align with their claims.
