Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client’s medical facility based in Mount Kisco, NY 10549. This is a 3-month assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Details:
Job Name: Medical Assistant
Location: Mount Kisco, NY 10549.
Duration: 3 months Contract (Possibilities of extension)
Payrate: $20-23/hr. on w2/Pay Rate is based on experience and educational qualifications.
Schedule: Mon - Fri/ 8 am - 5 pm (5 days/wk.)

Job Responsibilities:

1. Performs clinical duties within scope of practice complying with the accepted department standards, policies, and protocols.
2. Demonstrates a proactive approach to patient care, focusing on addressing each patient’s individual and family needs at the time of service; communicates identified needs in a timely manner.
3. Direct and/or escort patients to exam rooms in a timely manner.
4. Performs authorized procedures competently (i.e. vital signs, vision screening, selected laboratory tests) as directed by physician or nurse in clinical practice area
5. Prepare e-prescriptions for processing to pharmacies when instructed to do so by physician per policy.
6. Inspects, cleans/prepares and processes instruments/equipment according to manufacturers’ guidelines.
7. Processes specimens for transport to laboratory, ensuring that specimens are properly labeled, and appropriate orders have been placed in EPIC.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of relevant entry level work experience
