Mill Machinist III - 2nd Shift
Reporting To: Ldr., Performance
Work Schedule: Onsite - Buffalo, NY
Moog is the world-wide leader of advanced flight controls and actuation for commercial and military aircraft. We are positioned on virtually every aircraft flying today, supplying highly reliable systems that are supportable and add significant value for our customers.
Our Military Aircraft Group is looking for a Mill Machinist III to join our team. This role will be onsite in our East Aurora location and will report the department Performance Leader. For well qualified candidates, a sign on bonus is being offered for this position.
To be considered for this role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:
\n - High School diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
\n - 4 years' experience as a diversified machinist
\n - Previous CAD/CAM experience is a plus
\n - The ability to support 2nd Shift hours - 2:15 PM - 10:45 PM

As a Mill Machinist III, you will:
\n - Perform precision machining operations and CNC programming on CAM systems machining to create, repair, or alter a wide variety of complex parts, fixtures, tooling, sub-assemblies, and assemblies of all types of materials.
\n - Knowledge of G & M Codes
\n - This includes planning, fixturing and layout of the job.
\n - Be expected to hold very tight tolerances (.0001-.0002)
\n - Be responsible for the inspection and quality of all work performed.
\n - Work alongside Design Draftsmen and Manufacturing Engineers to find and execute a solution when issues arise, including detecting unusual conditions, defective materials and following operation instructions.
\n - Make technical decisions in the areas of fixturing, tooling, set-up, and inspection methods where well-defined instructions are occasionally absent.

- 2nd and 3rd shift employees receive 10% shift differential pay.

Salary Range Transparency: Buffalo, NY $30.00-$36.00 Hourly

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
