Job Description

Senior Helpers is looking for a EXPERIENCED FEMALE CAREGIVER that is able to fill12hr shifts overnight for a female client located in Nine Mile Falls.

DEMENTIA EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

We offer a bonus of $1,000 after requirements are met! $20 travel bonus included for every shift if you do not live in the Nine Mile area. We are seeking kind, compassionate caregivers that enjoy working one-on-one with the elderly. Caregivers typically provide companionship and conversation, meal preparation and planning, light housekeeping, medication reminders, transportation (errands and appointments), and personal care assistance (bathing, dressing, and grooming). Experience in these areas is highly preferred. Pay Range: 20.00 - 22.50/hr with several differentials offered. What does a night in the life of a caregiver look like? Providing a helping hand.
  • Help create a calm environment, and engage in clients hobbies such as reading, listening to music etc.
  • Help client with showering, changing briefs, dressing and preparing for bed
  • Ensure client remains comfortable through out the night. Assist with needs as they come up through out the evening.
  • Report what activities were completed with your clients and provide updates on your clients’ physical condition, mental capacity, and behavior

Caregiver Qualifications:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Caregiver experience and credential highly preferred for this client (Home Care Aide / HCA, Certified Nursing Assistant / CNA, or Nursing Assistant-Registered / NAR 1163 exempt)
  • Dementia experience highly preferred for this client
  • Kind, compassionate, and caring demeanor
  • Reliability, responsibility, and punctuality
  • Great communication with staff and clients
  • Pass a background and fingerprint check
  • Your own vehicle, current license and insurance
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to communicate in English (written and verbal)
