Salary Range: $140,000+ based on experience, shift and area of specialty

As an assistant to a physician or licensed IR, you will conduct a wide range of interventional radiologic diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for both inpatients and outpatients, following hospital policies and NYS regulatory statutes. In addition to assisting in radiological procedures such as angiography, CT scans, ultrasound, and MRI, you will also:

  • Perform pre- and post-procedure physical exams as well as take patient's medical history
  • Order, review, and interpret lab results, formulate treatment plans, and prescribe/dispense medication
  • Perform venipuncture and establishing IV access
  • Accurately document assessments, diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care in patient records
  • Participate in continuous performance improvement and quality assurance activities
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and hospital regulations

The right candidate will have:

  • Graduated from an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Current NYS PA License and National Commission on PA Certification
  • Preferred experience in an Interventional Suite and/or Surgical setting
  • Completed ACLS and BCLS certifications
  • Ability to obtain Conscious Sedation certification within 90 days of hire
  • Strong understanding of anatomy and patient evaluation management
  • Computer proficiency, along with effective written and oral communication skills
