About the Role
The Company is seeking a President/CEO to lead its mission of fostering collaboration and innovation within the credit union and CUSO space. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in driving growth and creating solutions through meaningful collaboration, particularly in the context of the cooperative business model. This role requires a leader with an advocacy mindset, dedicated to representing the organization to the industry and amplifying the voice of credit unions and CUSOs. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and nurturing relationships, creating a compelling vision, and measuring success in tangible ways. A strong focus on offering solutions, opening doors, and connecting others is essential to engendering trust and leading to membership growth. Candidates for the President/CEO position should have at least 8 years of executive experience in CUSO, credit union, FinTech, or trade association, and must be prepared to lead a small, remote team, oversee business operations, and engage with a geographically dispersed Board of Directors. The role demands a leader with a passion for the purpose of CUSOs, a dedication to advancing innovation, collaboration, and thought leadership in the credit union space, and a commitment to putting the mission before ego. The successful candidate will be a key connector between credit unions and business partners, centering the organization as a catalyst for meaningful, impactful innovation, and will be expected to share this story in high-visibility speaking and networking engagements. An extensive personal and professional network, as well as exceptional interpersonal skills, are also required.
