Clearance Required: TS/SCI with Polygraph
Seeking a Level One Software Engineer who will support mission-critical systems for a Federal customer at Fort Meade, Maryland. This entry-level role focuses on developing and maintaining Python-based applications in a secure environment. The engineer will work under the guidance of senior developers and contribute to software solutions that meet government requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain Python scripts and applications to support mission requirements.
Assist in debugging, testing, and documenting software components.
Collaborate with senior engineers and analysts to implement software solutions.
Participate in code reviews and follow secure coding practices.
Support integration and deployment of software in classified environments.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
Experience: 4+ years of professional experience in software development.
Preferences: Relevant certifications (e.g., Python Institute, CompTIA Security+) are a plus.
Skills:
Proficiency in Python programming.
Understanding of software development lifecycle and version control (e.g., Git).
Basic knowledge of secure coding principles and federal IT standards.
Ability to work in a team and follow technical guidance.
