About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to join our team in Washington D.C. . This role requires a professional with proven experience working directly with a general contractor on new construction projects . The Safety Manager will be responsible for implementing and overseeing safety programs, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards, and fostering a safe work environment on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and enforce site-specific safety programs in alignment with company and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections and audits to identify risks and corrective actions.
• Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions for employees and subcontractors.
• Investigate incidents and near misses, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, superintendents, and general contractors to maintain a strong safety culture.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and other applicable safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of direct Safety Manager experience on construction projects.
• OSHA 30-Hour Certification (required).
• EM385-1-1 40 Hour (required)
• Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations and best practices.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence and engage teams.
