The Alibaba Cloud IDC Security Management Team focuses on the security management of global data centers. Our responsibilities encompass all safety-related areas, including the deployment and maintenance of self-controlled physical security systems and intelligent monitoring systems, the management of internal security personnel, and comprehensive security training. By directly managing the security system to ensure operational efficiency and accountability.

Our team is composed of experienced and highly skilled professionals dedicated to providing customers with the strongest security guarantees, ensuring that data and infrastructure meet the highest safety standards. Through continuous technological innovation and the refinement of risk management strategies, we strive to maintain a secure and resilient environment for our data centers.

● Responsible for the real-time response, handling, and closure of security alarms and incidents in Alibaba Cloud's AMER Region data centers to ensure stable, secure, and efficient operations.

● Conduct thorough business research and security assessments of data centers, identify and optimize critical security control points, and promote systematic construction and online capability development of the data center security management system.

● Perform regular inspections of data centers to identify security vulnerabilities and system defects, and resolve these issues through security management strategies.

● Develop and optimize management standard procedures for the data center security management system framework, enhance the data center security management.

● Establish effective collaboration with other teams to promote the implementation and routine operation of the security system, improving the standardization level of data center security management.

● At least 5 years of experience in managing and operating security systems in large data centers or enterprises.

● Proficiency in technical research and solution design in the field of physical security, with a foundational understanding of data center physical security and a keen insight and strong judgment regarding new technologies.

● Strong capability in responding to large-scale security incidents, with preference given to candidates who have experience in Red Teaming.

● Excellent logical thinking and analytical skills, with a willingness to tackle complex problems and the ability to analyze existing problems, identify the root cause, and formulate solutions that address the issues.

● Strong communication and coordination skills, a strong sense of initiative and responsibility, and good teamwork spirit.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $142,000/year and $234,000/year. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
