Role As a Airport Security Officer in Kahului, HI , you’ll play a vital role in maintaining the safety and security of all passengers, staff, and airport facilities. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, engaging with the public, and delivering exceptional customer service through clear communication. Position Position Type: Part Time - Overnight Shift Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $1.96. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee. Job Schedule: Fri 09:30 PM - 06:00 AM Sat 09:30 PM - 06:00 AM Requirements Valid Driver's License 21+ years of age Have ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements) What You’ll Do Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior. Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to deter unauthorized entry and/or prohibited items. Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or incidents to the appropriate personnel. Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to deter potential security-related issues and provide assistance as needed. Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly. Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency responders as directed during incidents or emergencies. What We’re Looking For Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements Have at least 1 year of security-related experience. Be at least 21 years of age. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
