Title: Software Engineer, Mid-Senior

• Req #: 04031SXXGCFS
• FLSA: Full-Time, Regular Salary, Exempt 
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 0900hrs – 1730hrs
• Location: On-Site, Aberdeen, MD 21001
• Supervisory: Yes

Key Roles/Duties:

• Experience with embedded systems and real time software development in languages including C, C++, Java, and Rust
• Evaluates interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of overall system
• Research, understand, and develop using new technologies and standards as needed
• Provide process and standards advice in your area of specialization
• Serve as a resource for colleagues with less experience

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and nine (9) years professional experience. Four (4) years of additional system engineering experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree
• Seven (7)+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
• Experience in developing software for the Department of Defense (DoD)
• Experience with GIT, Eclipse, Maven, Linux, JIRA, Confluence
• Be accountable for your work and sometimes others
• Ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s orMaster’s degree, or the equivalent combination of education and experience plus three (3)+ years of relevant full stack development experience
• Eleven (11)+ years’ relevant experience
• Ability to think like a leader and implement process management procedures
• Experience working in an Agile environment and leading a small development team
• Excellent writing skills, verbal communication, problem solving and analysis techniques

Travel:

• Minimal, local travel less than 10% of the year

Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a background check and/or security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information

• Ability to obtain a security clearance is required
