Job Purpose

As a Technical Expert in the CAE Methods Department, you will lead a team in developing and validating cutting-edge CFD methods related to vehicle aerodynamics, thermal management, and water management. Your expertise will enhance the optimization, speed, and efficiency of our products and development processes.

Key Accountabilities

  • Direct and evaluate the technical output of a team developing new CFD methods for product verification.
  • Develop and promote metrics for modeling and analysis quality.
  • Establish a strategic plan for CFD methods development aligned with company goals.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to ensure CFD models meet efficiency targets.
  • Work with Virtual Performance Engineering to ensure CFD methods meet project requirements.
  • Create documentation for CFD Models as verified tools for product verification.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience.
  • Expertise in CFD software (e.g., Fluent, OpenFoam, StarCCM+) and programming languages (e.g., Matlab, Python).
  • Experience in creating new CFD methods and performing verification and validation.
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts for clear communication.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions

  • Primarily office-based work with some time spent at test facilities.
  • Hybrid work options available.
