We are seeking candidates for Stop Loss Underwriter positions with our group health insurance carrier clients. Responsibilities Collaborate closely with clinical underwriting professionals to determine appropriate risk premiums, considering ongoing and known claimants. Display a solid grasp of the stop loss insurance market and risk mitigation techniques, while remaining up to date on evolving industry risks. Assess and secure profitable stop loss accounts in alignment with prescribed standards and within the scope of designated underwriting authority. Thoroughly record underwriting rationale and authority decisions using the carrier’s documentation and filing systems. Efficiently handle a large volume of cases during peak periods by applying excellent time management and maintaining strong personal accountability. Qualifications 25 years of full-time work experience 10 most recent years of group health underwriting experience with an emphasis on Stop Loss Benefits Health insurance based on eligibility. 401(k) with a 4% match.
