Shift or schedule requirements.
\n\n12-hour shifts - Night (1845 to 0715) - Scheduled 36 hours per week following first week of orientation. No guarantee of hours.
\n\n\n\n
Equipment utilized in the unit/dept.
\n\nMeditech EMR; pyxis; wound vac; chest tubes.
\n\n\n\n
Required skills and minimum years of experience.
\n\n2-10 years’ experience
\n\n\n\n
Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required.
\n\nBLS, ACLS (Preferred: PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC)
\n\n\n\n
Floating to other units/departments.
\n\nMedical Unit; Laulima Unit; Cardiovascular Unit (on rare occasions)
\n\n\n\n
Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept.
\n\nMedical - 77; Laulima (surgical Acute) - 18; Cardiovascular Unit - 15
\n\n\n\n
Nurse to patient ratio of this unit.
\n\nMedical 1:6 for days and eves, 1:8 for nights
\n\nLaulima 1:6
\n\nCardiovascular 1:4
\n\nRatio may vary due to unexpected leaves
