Enjoy support for your personal growth within the organization, from those just starting their healthcare careers to those who are years down the path.**Be part of something extraordinary at Nebraska Medicine!****Job Duties: Transplant Coordinator**Provide and promote the delivery of 24/7 transitional quality patient care for a designated group of patients through role modeling, displaying excellence in nursing knowledge and clinical practice, and acting as educator for the transplant patient population. Provide a continuum of care and education for pre and post-transplant patients and their families (living donor or recipient) and serve as a patient advocate in the healthcare system and community.**Required Qualifications: Transplant Coordinator*** Minimum of three years nursing experience or other direct patient care experience working with complex patients required.* High school education or equivalent required.* Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) required.* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written format required.* Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team, using good judgment and assessment skills required.* Ability to demonstrate competent leadership and teaching ability required.* Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Nebraska or current compact state license required.* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later).**Preferred Qualifications: Transplant Coordinator*** Prior solid organ transplant experience preferred. Prior cardiology experience (ICU, CCU, or equivalent) preferred. Based on position, prior pulmonary experience (ICU, CF, PH or equivalent) preferred.* Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree preferred.* Transplant coordination certification after two years of hire or transfer date preferred.Nebraska Medicine is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
