Job Description

Job Summary: Commonwealth Senior Living is seeking a Temporary Payroll Specialist to support our Home Office payroll team during a high-volume period. This role will assist with accurate and timely payroll processing, data entry, audits, and employee payroll-related inquiries across multiple communities. This is a temporary position expected to begin mid-January and conclude in May, based out of our Home Office. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with end-to-end payroll processing for multi-state employees
  • Review, audit, and enter payroll data including hours, adjustments, bonuses, and corrections
  • Ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with company policies and applicable labor laws
  • Support payroll processing within Paycom
  • Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries in a timely manner
  • Assist with new hire payroll setup, terminations, and final pay processing
  • Partner with HR and Finance teams to ensure payroll data integrity
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll and employee information
  • Support reporting, reconciliations, and payroll documentation as needed
  • Provide additional payroll support during peak processing periods
Required Competencies:
  • Previous payroll experience required (multi-state payroll preferred)
  • Experience using Paycom strongly preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of payroll regulations, wage and hour laws, and best practices
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Professional communication skills and customer-service mindset
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
