What you will gain
Our Summer Internship Program, beginning in June 2026, provides immersive training and introduction to Santander. You will be combining this training with practical experience on both technical and interpersonal skills, helping your development during the internship.

The 2026 Santander Summer Internship Program is for undergraduate students and/or graduate level students who have an expected graduation date between December 2026 and May/June 2027.

Santander US is a nationwide business with locations across the country. This position is located in New York City, NY .

• The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.
Salary: $67,600/year

As a Real Estate Investment Management intern, you will come out of this experience with an understanding of the portfolio management team’s responsibility to manage commercial mortgages on multifamily properties throughout the United States. You will gain direct knowledge of existing mortgages within the portfolio. You’ll learn how to write credit memos to monitor asset performance and research requests for modifications.

Responsibilities of the Real Estate Investment Management internship role may include but are not limited to:
• Help gather and review financial information from properties and investors to understand assess creditworthiness and loan performance.
• Support the execution and documentation of asset reviews to evaluate real estate portfolio health, asset value trends, and business plan execution.
• Assist in property site visits to learn more about how real estate investments operate on the ground.
• Assist with writing summaries and reports for potential changes to investment plans or deals.

What we are looking for
• An undergraduate student with an expected graduation date between either December 2026 or May/June 2027.
• Area of Study: Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, Management, Economics or related field
• Cumulative GPA is 3.5 or above.
• Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and courage.
• Strong English communication skills both written and spoken required.
• Analytical thinkers with a strong attention to detail.
• Organized and able to manage time and multiple tasks efficiently.
• Ability to work independently on special projects.
• Ability to effectively contribute to a team environment.

It would be nice to have
• Coursework in or exposure to accounting, finance, economics, or business. (Preferred)
• Experience in Microsoft Office products. (Preferred)
